Every year since 1977, the International Council of Museum has organised on 18 May the International #Museum Day, deciding a different main theme for the occasion
#COVID19 lockdown has had a global impact on museums and, for the first time, the International Museum Day 2020 is going #digital, celebrating “Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion”
We want to spread the word with a #picture of the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle in #Paris on the left bank of the Seine
Although the museum comprises 14 sites throughout France, the most famous is the original location at the #JardindesPlantes
It was founded in 1635 by by King Louis XIII and was originally conceived as the royal #garden of medicinal plants
In 1793, during the French revolution, the building was formally turned into a museum.
It’s the perfect place to celebrate the #International Day of Families, on May 15 every year!
