New York Times Building
Today we want to raise awareness of the importance of free journalism, celebrating the #WorldPressFreedomDay and we choose the headquarters of one of the most iconic American newspaper, The New York Times
—
The skyscraper was designed by the most famous living Italian architect: Renzo Piano and was completed in 2007.
The 52-story building on Eighth Avenue in #Manhattan, not far from Times Square, is not only the 19th tallest building in the United States (1,046 ft ), but also the first high-rise building in the country to have a ceramic curtain wall. This structure acts as a sunscreen, reflects light and changes colors throughout the day
—
It also makes the #skyscraper looks transparent: anybody can see inside it because journalism is free and the newspaper has nothing to hide!
